Episkopi Morou Nerou is a protected natural area in the Republic of Cyprus, recognized as a Special Protection Area for birds, a Site of Community Importance, and a Special Area of Conservation under the European Union Natura 2000 network. The site covers roughly 419 hectares of terrestrial landscape in the western part of the island and is identified in the Natura 2000 register under the code CY4000005. The area sits within the broader Mediterranean ecoregion and is shaped by the hydrology of the Ezousa and Kryos river valleys, where seasonal watercourses and riverbank vegetation create a distinctive mosaic of habitats. A combination of phrygana, pseudo-steppe grassland, riparian galleries, and Mediterranean forest types gives the site strong ecological character despite its modest size. The site is best known for its ornithological importance. It hosts around 64 protected bird species as well as notable mammals, invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, and plants, making it a meaningful component of Cyprus's network of protected natural areas.
