FFH-Gebiet Bentheimer Wald is a European protected area in the northwestern German lowlands, anchoring a stretch of oak and hornbeam forest whose ecological quality is rooted in a long history of human use. The Bundesstraße 403 cuts across the forest, and the spa park, or Kurpark, of Bad Bentheim sits within the protected area as a small green island.

The core ecological character of the site is shaped by near-natural oak-hornbeam woodland on waterlogged, moisture-retaining soils.
