Moresby Range National Park is a compact coastal protected area in Far North Queensland, Australia, situated on the Cassowary Coast approximately 1,314 kilometres northwest of Brisbane. The park protects a distinctive lowland tropical rainforest ecosystem on a low coastal range that rises to approximately 160 metres above sea level, located just south of the mouth of the Johnstone River near the town of Innisfail. As part of the globally significant Wet Tropics bioregion, the park plays an important role in conserving the limited remaining fragments of lowland tropical rainforest that once covered much of this coastal strip. The protected area is recognized as part of the Coastal Wet Tropics Important Bird Area, highlighting its significance for the conservation of tropical bird species in an area where habitat loss has been severe.
