Glenthorne National Park, Ityamaiitpinna Yarta

Glenthorne National Park–Ityamaiitpinna Yarta is a recently established protected area in South Australia, located in the southern Adelaide suburb of O'Halloran Hill approximately 16 kilometres south of the city centre. The park opened to the public in November 2020 and represents one of South Australia's newer national park designations. The park forms the core of the planned Glenthorne Precinct, which will eventually connect with Hallett Cove Conservation Park, Marino Conservation Park, areas along the Field River Valley, and the Happy Valley Reservoir to create a contiguous network of protected lands across Adelaide's southern region. The Kaurna people are the traditional owners of this landscape and maintain a profound ongoing relationship with Country that will shape the park's management approach through Tjukurpa, the cultural framework of stories and lore.
