Wee Jasper Nature Reserve

Wee Jasper Nature Reserve is a protected nature reserve in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. It sits to the west of the Goodradigbee River arm of Burrinjuck Dam, near the small rural locality of Wee Jasper, and forms part of the broader network of conservation areas administered by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Despite its compact size, the reserve covers a notably varied set of forest ecosystems across different slope aspects, including eucalyptus and she-oak woodland communities. It is especially valued for the presence of several rare and threatened plant species, some of which are restricted to the limestone and grassy woodland habitats of this part of the Southern Tablelands. The reserve is classified at the highest level of nature reserve protection in the New South Wales system and is managed as a strict nature reserve, emphasising the preservation of native flora, native fauna, and natural ecological processes rather than developed visitor facilities.
