Hänge mit Wald und Hecken im Neckartal und Mückenbachtal

Hänge mit Wald und Hecken im Neckartal und Mückenbachtal is a small protected landscape in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwestern Germany, designated on 1 February 1953 by the administrative office of the Rottweil district. It lies within the community of Deißlingen, in the upper valley of the Neckar river west of the village, between Deißlingen and the neighboring settlement of Dauchingen, and belongs geographically to the natural region known as the Obere Gäue. The protected area focuses on a strikingly varied stretch of valley landscape. The Neckar flows through the area from southeast to northwest, while a steeply incised right-bank side valley, the Mückenbachtal, cuts deeply into the surrounding terrain. Together, the wooded valley slopes, the open grassland on the left bank of the Neckar, and the narrow forested side valley form a compact mosaic of river-valley habitats. Although the landscape is modest in size, it represents a typical piece of the traditional Neckar valley scenery of the region. The protected designation aims to preserve the combination of forested slopes, hedge-framed fields, seasonally used grassland, and the steep wooded side valley that together give this section of the upper Neckar valley its distinctive character.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
