Na letišti

Na letišti is a small protected natural monument situated on the southwestern outskirts of Otrokovice, a town in the Zlín District of the Zlín Region in the eastern Czech Republic. The site centers on a former meander of the Morava River that was severed during river regulation works, leaving behind a stagnant oxbow arm surrounded by wetland vegetation. Though only a few hectares in size, the reserve holds meaningful ecological value because it preserves a refuge for aquatic plants, amphibians, and water beetles in an otherwise heavily modified lowland landscape. The area was first protected in 1956 as a state nature reserve, principally because of a population of the critically endangered water caltrop. After decades of disturbance and changing use, it was reclassified in 1997 as a natural monument, a category focused on protecting single species or small habitats. Today the site is administered nationally and continues to serve as an important refuge for wetland biodiversity in the Morava floodplain system, even as many of its most characteristic plants and invertebrate communities have declined.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
