Etosha National Park occupies a vast expanse of northeastern Namibia, protecting a unique ecosystem where semi-desert savanna converges with one of the continent's most distinctive geological features. The park's heart is the Etosha pan, an enormous endorheic salt basin that was once part of a massive lake system and now stands as a shimmering white expanse visible from space.
