Patria nad Odrzechową

Patria nad Odrzechową is a small protected habitat area in southeastern Poland, within the Subcarpathian region. Designated under the European Union Natura 2000 network with the site code PLH180028, it is currently classified as an obszar mający znaczenie dla Wspólnoty, a Site of Community Importance in the EU's Habitats Directive framework. The site lies in the central part of the Pogórze Bukowskie, the Bukowskie Foothills, within Gmina Zarszyn in Sanocki County. The area is characterized by deciduous forest habitats typical of the western Carpathian foothills. Two natural habitat types from the EU Habitats Directive dominate the site's ecological profile: fertile Carpathian beech forest and grąd, the oak-hornbeam-lime woodland that occurs on more fertile lowland and upland soils. Several Annex II species tied to wet woodland and old-growth forest conditions are also recorded here. Although modest in size, the site's importance lies in its contribution to the regional network of protected forest habitats in the Low Beskids area. It is fully located within the broader Beskid Niski Protected Landscape Area, linking Natura 2000 habitat protection with Poland's national landscape-protection framework.
