Říčanka Nature Park

Říčanka Nature Park is a protected natural park on the eastern outskirts of Prague, in the Czech Republic. Established in 1984, it is one of Prague's oldest natural parks, alongside the Botič–Milíčov Nature Park. The park covers more than 400 hectares and forms an irregular corridor roughly one kilometer wide and about five kilometers long, stretching from Běchovice in the north to Uhříněves in the south. The landscape has retained its rural character, with a mosaic of fields, forests, meadows, and fishponds. The defining axis of the park is the Říčanský potok (also called Říčanka), the stream from which the park takes its name. Several fishponds are strung along this watercourse, including Podleský rybník, the second-largest fishpond in Prague, the V Rohožníku pond, and a system of three Lítožnice ponds. The park also includes smaller protected natural monuments, such as the game reserve at Uhříněves, a former quarry at Rohožník, and the Lítožnice locality, giving the protected area a layered identity that combines rural landscape, aquatic habitats, woodland patches, and small-scale geological and archaeological heritage.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
