Trzciana

Trzciana is a Natura 2000 site in southeastern Poland, covering one of the mountain ranges of the Beskid Dukielski within the broader Low Beskids (Beskid Niski) region of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The site spans roughly 2,285 hectares of forested terrain in Gmina Dukla, within Krosno County, and lies inside the Beskid Niski Protected Landscape Area. The area was proposed as a Special Area of Conservation and is currently designated as a Site of Community Importance, a status it received in 2009. Its protection focuses on extensive Carpathian forest habitats as well as the foraging grounds used by breeding bat colonies sheltering in a historic chapel building. Trzciana's significance lies in the combination of well-preserved beech and mixed forest habitats typical of the western Carpathians with notable cave-related features and a strong ecological link to the surrounding protected landscape.

Review historical earthquake records in the wider Trzciana area

Trzciana’s historical earthquake records are arranged by mapped epicentres and calculated distance from the protected Natura 2000 site, not evidence of boundary occurrence. Their time, magnitude, depth, locality, separation, and source can be compared without interpreting Beskid landscape or habitat features as seismic causes, declaring present hazard, or projecting later activity.
