Württembergisches Bodenseeufer, Teilbereich Friedrichshafen-West

Württembergisches Bodenseeufer, Teilbereich Friedrichshafen-West is a small landscape protection area (Landschaftsschutzgebiet) located on the northern shore of Lake Constance in the city of Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Established by ordinance of the Bodenseekreis district office on 26 February 2004, the protected zone covers approximately 114 hectares along roughly four and a half kilometres of the Württemberg shore west of the city centre. It belongs to the natural region of the Bodensee basin and forms a continuous green corridor between the lakeshore and the inland areas of the Württemberg Lake Constance region. The reserve safeguards a mosaic of lakeshore habitats and culturally shaped open spaces in an otherwise heavily urbanised setting. Reed belts, gallery woodlands along the Brunnisach and Lipbach streams, shore hedges of the Seehag, shallow-water zones, villa gardens, parks, allotment gardens, and agricultural land all fall under its protection. By preserving this mix of near-natural and traditionally used green spaces, the area functions as a vital ecological link between the lake and the surrounding lowlands of Friedrichshafen and the neighbouring municipality of Immenstaad am Bodensee.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
