Biamanga National Park

Biamanga National Park is a protected area in southeastern Australia, situated approximately 408 kilometers south of Sydney and 40 kilometers north of Bega in New South Wales. The park encompasses 13,617 hectares of diverse terrain centered around Mumbulla Mountain, a prominent basalt peak that rises prominently above the Bega Valley landscape. Established in 1994 and expanded in 1997, the park represents a significant achievement in Aboriginal land rights and collaborative conservation management, being jointly managed by traditional Yuin owners and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service since 2006. The park holds IUCN Category II protection status and forms part of the Ulladulla to Merimbula Important Bird Area, recognized internationally for its significance to migratory swift parrots.
