Dębowa Góra Nature Reserve

Dębowa Góra Nature Reserve is a small forest reserve in western Poland, located in the Lubusz Voivodeship within Gorzów County and the Gmina Bogdaniec. It protects a fragment of Central European oak-lime-hornbeam forest (grąd środkowoeuropejski) that has been preserved in a near-natural state, along with a smaller area of fertile lowland beech forest. The reserve lies in the Równina Gorzowska mesoregion and covers just over eleven hectares of mixed woodland, managed by the Bogdaniec Forest District. Established in 1995 by order of the Minister of the Environment, Natural Resources and Forestry, the reserve is managed through active conservation, with an established protection plan guiding its ongoing care. Despite its modest size, Dębowa Góra is valued for its mature, near-natural deciduous forest character and its role in preserving a representative example of the oak-dominated forest habitats that historically shaped this part of the Polish lowlands.
