Na Ostrážné

Na Ostrážné is a small protected natural monument in the Czech Republic, located above the Vír I reservoir near the village of Hluboké, a part of the municipality of Dalečín in the Vysočina Region. The designation was established on 25 December 2015 by the Regional Authority of the Vysočina Region and covers a compact area of about 1.39 hectares on a south-facing slope between roughly 534 and 577 meters above sea level. The monument lies within the Svratecká hornatina natural park, a broader landscape protection zone in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The site's principal conservation value lies in a mosaic of differently moist meadow habitats that have persisted on this slope and that support important plant and animal species. The defining reason for protection, however, is the presence of a population of the dusky large blue (Phengaris nausithous), a strongly endangered butterfly of European conservation significance. The territory also forms part of a same-named Natura 2000 site of European importance, integrating the small Czech monument into the wider European ecological network for habitat and species protection.
