The mid-slope and plateau vegetation includes Central European and subcontinental Galio-Carpinetum and Tilio-Carpinetum oak-hornbeam forests, which form the wooded backbone of the area and provide habitat continuity with surrounding landscapes.
On the valley floor, the nature of the site shifts decisively toward moisture-dependent communities.
