Park Krajobrazowy Wzgórz Dylewskich

Park Krajobrazowy Wzgórz Dylewskich is a protected landscape park in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of northern Poland, covering the highest section of the Garb Lubawski, a prominent moraine ridge within the broader Chełmno-Dobrzyń Lakeland. Spanning just over seventy square kilometers across the rural communes of Lubawa, Dąbrówno, and Ostróda, the park protects one of the most morphologically varied stretches of Polish lakeland, crowned by Dylewska Góra, the highest peak of the entire Polish lake district. The landscape is defined by a strongly dynamic terrain of glacial hills, steep slopes, deep stream valleys, and scattered lakes, with local relief commonly reaching forty to sixty meters and occasionally exceeding eighty. Radiating rivers and brooks originate here, and the forests, meadows, and bedrock formations support a notably rich and regionally distinctive flora and fauna. The park was established to preserve the area's extraordinary landforms, viewpoints, biodiversity, and historical cultural value. Beyond its ecological role, the landscape park carries strong cultural and historical significance tied to the long-inhabited rural region of southern Warmia and northern Masuria. It is surrounded by a protective buffer zone of around one hundred and forty-six square kilometers, including parts of Grunwald commune, helping to shield the integrity of the protected terrain.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
