Dolina Kluczwody Nature Reserve

Dolina Kluczwody is a small landscape nature reserve in the central part of Kluczwody Valley, on the western slope of a scenic limestone gorge near the village of Zelków, within the Zabierzów commune in the Kraków region of southern Poland. It lies on the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, inside one of the better-known valleys of the Dolinki Krakowskie Landscape Park, and protects a mosaic of oak-hornbeam forest, sun-exposed rock swards with calcicole plants, and a steep-sided valley landscape shaped by karst processes. Created in 1989, the reserve covers 35.22 hectares of state-owned forest land managed by the Krzeszowice Forest District (Dubie subdistrict). The valley floor is threaded by the brisk, shallow Kluczwoda stream, which drops in two small cascades along the reserve's edge. Beyond its scenic and botanical importance, Dolina Kluczwody is one of eleven enclaves that together form the Natura 2000 habitat site 'Dolinki Jurajskie', giving it added ecological significance within the Polish network of protected habitats.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
