Bagno Raczyk Nature Reserve

Bagno Raczyk Nature Reserve is a small protected wetland area in northwestern Poland, located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship within Gmina Człopa, Wałcz County. The reserve covers roughly 34 hectares in the Pojezierze Wałeckie lake-district mesoregion and lies along the Cieszynka River near its mouth into Lake Młyński Staw (Jezioro Młyńskie Wielkie). It is classified as a landscape nature reserve and protects a complex of sedge marshes, reed beds, willow thickets, and spring-fed alder woodland. The reserve was established on 24 November 2011 under a regional environmental director's order, although the site had already been recognized for its ecological value in 1995, when an ecological use area (użytek ekologiczny) was designated there. The area is managed under strict protection and is fully embedded within broader European conservation frameworks, sitting inside the Puszcza nad Drawą Protected Landscape Area and overlapping with two Natura 2000 sites of high biodiversity importance. Bagno Raczyk is primarily valued as a refuge for wetland-dependent and predatory birds. It supports breeding populations of common cranes, grebes, bitterns, mute swans, common teal, and common goldeneyes, along with several reedbed warbler species, and it is also inhabited by the European beaver. A walking trail loops around the reserve, making the protected wetland accessible to visitors interested in quiet observation of marshland birdlife and groundwater-fed forest habitats.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
