Chełmiński Landscape Park

Chełmiński Landscape Park is a protected landscape area in north-central Poland, situated in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship along the right bank of the Lower Vistula valley. It stretches from the vicinity of Unisław in the south up to the outskirts of Grudziądz in the north, covering a broad band of terrain shaped by glacial and fluvial processes. The park lies within the Fordon Valley and the Chełmno Lake District, two adjacent physical-geographical regions that give the protected area its varied character. Together with the Nadwiślański Landscape Park and the Góry Łosiowe Landscape Park, it is administered as part of the Lower Vistula Landscape Parks Complex headquartered in Świecie. Established in 1998, Chełmiński Landscape Park preserves a representative cross-section of the young glacial and river-valley landscapes typical of this part of the Polish lowlands, including moraine hills, lake basins, and fragments of floodplain forest along the Vistula.
