Dolina Waliczówki Nature Reserve

Dolina Waliczówki Nature Reserve is a small floristic nature reserve situated within the Białowieża Forest in eastern Poland. It lies in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, in the Hajnówka County, on the territory of the gmina of Narewka. The reserve covers an area of 44.75 hectares along the valley of a small forest stream called the Waliczówka. The reserve was established to preserve forest plant communities distinguished by a high degree of naturalness, as well as non-forest plant communities in the spring and headwater zone of the stream. These include sedge communities that grow where the water emerges from the ground and creates the beginnings of the flow. The protected landscape of Dolina Waliczówki forms part of one of Europe's most significant lowland forest complexes, contributing to the broader conservation value of the Białowieża Forest region. It is an example of a compact reserve focused on the ecological integrity of a forest stream valley rather than large-scale wildlife habitat.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
