Bredsgård Sø

Bredsgård Sø is a small protected area in central Jutland, Denmark, designated as a Natura 2000 habitat site in the Viborg Kommune within Region Midtjylland. The site is named after a former lake that was drained in the mid-twentieth century and today consists of a mosaic of ponds, drainage channels, wet meadows, and species-rich fens set within an upper valley of the Fiskbæk river system. Protection over the area has been in place since 1984, and it was adopted into the European Natura 2000 network with a plan approved in 2011. Ecologically, the site is significant for its cold groundwater springs along the valley slopes, which support relict plant and moss communities more typical of boreal regions further north.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
