Naturschutzgebiet Olpetal und Altenkleusheimer Bachtal

Naturschutzgebiet Olpetal und Altenkleusheimer Bachtal is a small nature reserve in the Kreis Olpe district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It covers roughly 37 hectares across five separate parcels along the Olpe stream south of Stachelau and the upper Altenkleusheimer Bach, including a short unnamed side valley of the Altenkleusheimer Bach northwest of the village of Altenkleusheim. The protected area lies in the wooded hill country of the Rothaarvorhöhen, the western foothills of the Rothaargebirge, where the Olpe flows in a narrow valley between the forested ridges of the Neuenkleusheimer Wald to the east and the Rhonardberg to the west. The reserve preserves extensive grassland, brook-side wetland habitat, moist and wet fallow land, succession shrub and pioneer forest stands, and scattered slope meadows rich in flowering plants. Designated in 2020 through the regional landscape plan, the area is valued for its brook and floodplain ecosystems, its role as a core area in the regional biotope network, and the scientific and regional significance of its partially near-natural stream valleys. It is closely flanked by the Naturschutzgebiet Eichenwälder Wörde and surrounded by a designated landscape protection area.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
