Naturschutzgebiet Opspring is a small nature reserve in the municipality of Schmallenberg, within the Hochsauerlandkreis district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Covering only about 11.7 hectares, the protected area consists of three separate but neighboring parcels located in forested, narrow stream valleys southeast of Grafschaft. The reserve encompasses the headwaters of the Grafschaft stream, a tributary of the Lenne river, along with the headwaters of two smaller side streams. These sheltered, north-facing valley slopes support mature beech forest interspersed with spruce, as well as species-rich ravine woodland habitats along low rock outcrops. By protecting these moist headwater forests and their associated plant communities, Opspring contributes to the broader conservation network of the Sauerland region.
