Dolina Pięciu Jezior Nature Reserve

Dolina Pięciu Jezior is a landscape nature reserve in northwestern Poland that protects a deeply incised post-glacial valley containing the headwaters of the Drawa River and five linked lakes. Situated in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship within the Drawsko Lakeland, the reserve forms a notable scenic corridor of wooded slopes, moraine ridges, and clear glacial lakes connected by a short stretch of the young Drawa. The reserve lies inside the Drawsko Landscape Park and overlaps with two Natura 2000 sites, integrating it into a broader protected mosaic centered on the Drawa River system. The defining character of the area is the contrast between steep valley walls and a wet, lake-filled valley floor, all blanketed in beech-dominated forest. Locally known as Szwajcaria Połczyńska, or the Switzerland of Połczyn, the reserve has a long-standing reputation as one of the most picturesque corners of the Pomeranian Lakeland. Its purpose is to preserve the source ecosystem of the Drawa together with its characteristic forests, peatland patches, aquatic plant communities, and protected plant species typical of the region.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
