Dolina Postomii Nature Reserve

Dolina Postomii is a small forest nature reserve in western Poland, located in Lubuskie Voivodeship within the Ujście Warty Landscape Park. It protects a strip of natural habitat along the edge and floodplain of the Postomia River, the valley of which forms part of the broader ancient Warta river corridor. The reserve safeguards a mosaic of wetland, floodplain meadow, and forest communities that are otherwise scarce in this intensively managed lowland region. The protected area is recognized as one of the better-preserved examples of oak-hornbeam forest (grąd) in the local region, and it also supports narrow bands of alder-ash floodplain woodland as well as sedge and meadow communities in the valley bottom. Its habitat diversity makes it a refuge for a rich breeding bird community and a notable concentration of rare longhorn beetles within Poland's western territories. Although the reserve is compact, its conservation significance is amplified by its location inside a major landscape park that focuses on protecting the Warta river system, an internationally important wetland area along the German border.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
