Přírodní park Čížovky

Přírodní park Čížovky is a protected landscape area in the Czech Republic, located in the Mladá Boleslav district of the Central Bohemian Region. Established in 1998, the park surrounds the villages of Petkovy, Domousnice and Lhotky and safeguards a rural landscape that has remained largely unaltered by modern development, with only sparse settlement and minimal post-war construction. The protected area is defined by a mosaic of water bodies, wetlands, meadows, fragments of old orchards and forested valley slopes. The Křesovský potok stream runs through the park and feeds a series of small ponds, while the elevated ridge of Křemenice marks the eastern end of the prominent Chloumecký hřbet hill range and rises above the surrounding lowlands. These varied habitats support a rich community of plants and animals, including rare wetland flora, breeding birds, amphibians, and a colony of bats that roosts in an old mill beneath one of the pond dams. The park is valued as an example of a traditional, lightly disturbed Bohemian cultural landscape with strong ecological continuity.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
