Rybenské Perničky

Rybenské Perničky is a small natural monument (přírodní památka) in the Czech Republic, located in the Pardubice Region near the village of Pustá Rybná in the Svitavy District. The site protects a pair of gneiss rock outcrops that rise above the surrounding plateau landscape of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, close to the protected landscape area of Žďárské vrchy. The rocks themselves are the core of the protected area, valued above all as a notable geological and geomorphological feature rather than for any associated habitat. They are composed of orthogneiss, formed deep within the Earth's crust and later exposed through long-term weathering, and display unusually well-developed bowl-shaped cavities known locally as perničky. Because the protected territory is compact and focused on a single geological landmark, the site's significance is narrow but clear: it preserves an exemplary display of rock weathering forms that are otherwise rare in the region, while remaining accessible to visitors interested in geology, climbing, and quiet rural landscapes.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
