Teiche am Erz- und Finkenbruch im Solling

Teiche am Erz- und Finkenbruch im Solling is a small nature reserve in Lower Saxony, Germany, situated within the Solling-Vogler Nature Park in the Weserbergland hills east and southeast of the town of Holzminden. Established on 30 June 2016, the reserve covers roughly three hectares and protects a network of small, near-natural ponds created in the 1980s, along with the bog-margin vegetation that surrounds them. The site is especially valued for its populations of the Large White-faced Darter dragonfly, along with several other dragonfly species such as the Spear Azure Damselfly. The reserve is split into two separate sections and is fully enclosed by the larger Solling-Vogler landscape protection area. Beyond the ponds themselves, the protected ground includes peat-moss and rush communities along the shorelines, submerged and floating-leaved aquatic vegetation, and surrounding woodland. Because of its dragonfly interest and its integration into a Natura 2000 habitat site, the area plays an important role in protecting the freshwater and wetland character of this forested part of the Weserbergland.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
