Winter brings heavy precipitation including snow at higher elevations, which can make upper trails and forest roads difficult, but also accents the area's ice caves and burja-driven weather patterns. Summer is generally greener and most comfortable for hiking the forest belt, though visitors should expect variable weather and the strong burja wind that frequently affects exposed slopes, ridges and plateaux.
