V kuksu

V kuksu is a small protected natural area in the northern part of the Czech Republic, situated roughly half a kilometer southeast of the village of Vědlice in the Litoměřice district of the Ústecký region. Established as a přírodní památka (natural monument) in January 2011, the site protects a relatively compact yet ecologically significant ravine landscape. The reserve's defining purpose is the conservation of a site of European importance under the Natura 2000 network, focused primarily on populations of střevíčník pantoflíček (Cypripedium calceolus), commonly known as the lady's slipper orchid, along with other members of the orchid family and the habitats on which they depend. Although modest in size, V kuksu represents an important element in the broader mosaic of protected natural sites in the Litoměřice district, contributing to the preservation of orchid-rich forest and ravine habitats that have become increasingly rare across the Czech countryside.
