Vávrova skála

Vávrova skála is a protected natural monument in the Czech Republic, located in the rolling landscape of the Českomoravská vrchovina range within Vysočina Region. The site protects a compact orthogneiss rock outcrop surrounded by dry grassland and fragments of heather vegetation typical of nutrient-poor upland habitats in central Europe. Although extremely small in area, the monument is significant for the geological character it preserves. The rock formation rises from the slope of Pohledecký kopec near the village of Pohledec and forms part of the broader Žďárské vrchy protected landscape area, protecting a representative example of metamorphic geology and associated summit vegetation within one of the Czech Republic's most distinctive highland regions.
