Ve Farářském

Ve Farářském is a natural monument (přírodní památka) in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, situated about one kilometer west of the village of Drahov in the Tábo district. The protected area focuses on a narrow strip of wetland habitat along the western shore of Farářský rybník, a small fishpond in the traditional South Bohemian landscape of ponds, meadows, and small watercourses. Originally proclaimed in 1988 as "Farářský rybník," the site was re-declared under its present name on 16 October 2025, with a shift in its conservation subject. The original focus was the occurrence of white water lily in the pond itself; the new designation instead protects a colorful mosaic of mesotrophic, waterlogged meadow communities on the western bank. The protected habitat transitions from sedge and bulrush-dominated marsh vegetation into littoral shrub-willow stands at the water's edge, creating a compact but ecologically rich wetland system typical of well-preserved South Bohemian fishpond margins.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
