Vražba

Vražba is a small protected natural area in the eastern part of the Czech Republic, classified as a Přírodní památka (Natural Monument) and managed under IUCN category III. It lies in the cadastral territory of Habřina, west of the town of Jaroměř, in the Hradec Králové district of the Královéhradecký region. The site is recognized within the Natura 2000 network as a Site of Community Importance centered on the same species that gives the protected area its conservation purpose. The defining character of Vražba is botanical rather than scenic. The reserve was established specifically to support and stabilize a population of Adenophora liliifolia, the ladybells, a critically endangered flowering plant in Central Europe. Habitat protection for this single rare species is the core reason for the site's formal designation and ongoing active management. Beyond its central species, the monument also shelters a modest assemblage of other protected and notable plants, including several orchids and other woodland or forest-edge species typical of the Bohemian countryside. As a result, Vražba functions less as a landscape-scale park and more as a focused biodiversity site, valuable mainly for specialists, botanists, and visitors interested in rare Central European flora.

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
