Wisłok Środkowy z Dopływami

Wisłok Środkowy z Dopływami is a Polish Natura 2000 site classified as an area of Community importance (obszar mający znaczenie dla Wspólnoty), designated under the EU Habitats Directive with the site code PLH180030. The site covers the middle stretch of the Wisłok River, running from the dam at Sieniawa in the west to the dam at Rzeszowie in the east, together with a defined reach of the Stobnica tributary. The protected area lies in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship of southeastern Poland, spanning parts of the Jasielsko-Krośnieńska Basin and the Strzyżowskie and Dynowskie Foothills, three mesoregions of the outer Western Carpathians. The site is designed to safeguard freshwater habitats along the river corridor, including riparian and floodplain forests as well as species-rich meadows. The site's importance lies in its riverine ecology. It hosts nine Annex II fish species and supports several Annex I habitat types, including floodplain forests, oak-hornbeam forests, and wet meadows that shelter protected butterflies. A proposed Special Area of Conservation has been planned around this same footprint.
