Diego Ramírez Islands and Drake Passage National Park is a vast protected area in the far southern Pacific coast of Chile, encompassing the Diego Ramírez Islands and the surrounding waters of the Drake Passage. Established as a marine park in 2018 and redesignated as a national park in 2025, the park lies south of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago within the Antártica Chilena Province of the Magallanes region. At over 14 million hectares, it is one of Chile's largest protected areas and represents a critical corridor for the Antarctic Circumpolar Current. The park conserves subantarctic oceanic ecosystems, pelagic bird habitats, marine mammal feeding grounds, and distinctive submarine geomorphology including shallow seamounts that support rich benthic communities. It complements the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve and represents one of the few places on Earth without any recorded invasive terrestrial species.
