Dolina Stradanki Nature Reserve

Dolina Stradanki Nature Reserve is a forest nature reserve in northern Poland, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, administered through the Elbląg Forest District within Gmina Tolkmicko. It lies inside the Elbląg Upland Landscape Park and its protective buffer zone, anchoring a protected corridor along the Stradanka River in a region shaped by glacial and postglacial landforms. The reserve was created in 2006 to protect a distinctive river-valley landscape: the meandering course of the Stradanka and its system of side valleys, together with the beech forest that clothes the slopes. Beyond its scenic character, the site is recognized for hosting rare and protected plant and animal species, with particular attention to its avifauna. Although it covers a relatively compact area of around 121 hectares, the reserve represents an unusually coherent example of a valley forest ecosystem within the broader Elbląg Upland landscape, integrating hydrological, forest, and biological values within a single protected unit.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
