Pravětínská Lada

Pravětínská Lada is a small nature reserve in the Bohemian Forest region of southern Czechia, located in the Prachatice district of the South Bohemian Region. It lies southeast of the village of Borová Lada, on the left side of the valley carved by the Zelenohorský potok, a tributary of the Teplá Vltava. The reserve protects a mosaic of naturally developing habitats rather than a single uniform landscape. Its core consists of a peat bog, a springhead area, and broader wetland communities, framed by drier sites that have emerged on former agricultural land after the area was abandoned. Although the protected area itself covers only a few dozen hectares, it sits within the broader Šumava landscape and is managed by the Šumava National Park administration, giving it a regional conservation significance beyond its compact size.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
