Réserve naturelle régionale des sites d'intérêt géologique de la presqu'île de Crozon

The Réserve naturelle régionale des sites d'intérêt géologique de la presqu'île de Crozon is a regional nature reserve focused on geology, located in the Finistère department of Brittany, in northwestern France. It sits at the western end of the Armorican Regional Natural Park, wrapping around the Crozon peninsula and encompassing 27 separate coastal sites that together form an open-air archive of Paleozoic and Quaternary geology. Although the reserve is primarily geological in purpose, the protected sites include varied coastal habitats such as dry heathland, sea cliffs, and grey dunes. These environments host a notable assemblage of fauna and flora, including European otter, grey seal, chough, greater horseshoe bat, and the Quimper snail, alongside rare ferns, rock sorrel, and serapias orchids. Established in October 2013 by the Communauté de communes Presqu'île de Crozon-Aulne maritime, the reserve places the Crozon peninsula's ancient sandstone, schist, volcanic, and Quaternary formations under formal protection from sampling and damage. It is recognized as an Espace Remarquable de Bretagne by the regional council and serves both as a scientific reference and a public-facing geological heritage site.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
