Stobrawski Landscape Park

Stobrawski Landscape Park is a large protected landscape area in the northern part of the Opole Voivodeship in southwestern Poland, established on 28 September 1999. It is the youngest landscape park in the Opole region and, despite covering more than 52,600 hectares, remains relatively little known beyond Poland. Nearly 80 percent of its surface is occupied by forest complexes dominated by pine stands, giving the park a strongly wooded, lowland character. The park lies within the catchment basins of the Stobrawa, Budkowiczanka, Bogacica, Brynica, and Smortawa rivers, with the southern boundary running along the broad valleys of the Odra and the Nysa Kłodzka. Several distinct physical-geographical regions meet here, including the Równina Opolska, the Równina Oleśnicka, and the Pradolina Wrocławska, producing a mosaic of flat plains, river terraces, floodplains, and patches of wetlands. Ecologically, Stobrawski Landscape Park is notable for its rich flora, including more than 40 strictly protected plant species and around 130 rare plant species, as well as a diverse fauna of roughly 250 protected animal species, of which 165 are bird species. Large forest blocks, river corridors, and small water bodies together support orchids, water plants, otters, beavers, white-tailed eagles, and kingfishers, and the park overlaps with several Natura 2000 areas, including the Grądy Odrzańskie bird protection zone.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
