Climate-zone definition
Tropical climate describes year-round warmth at low latitudes, with rainfall ranging from ever-wet equatorial conditions to pronounced wet and dry seasons. It is a broad park-scale category rather than a precise site forecast or a substitute for local climate records.
The classification summarizes dominant long-term conditions at landscape scale. It deliberately avoids pretending to be a Köppen subtype, weather forecast, or boundary-accurate climate map; parks can span transition zones, contain high-elevation enclaves, or experience coastal effects that a single label cannot fully represent.
The category should therefore support comparison and interpretation while preserving uncertainty wherever park-scale evidence is incomplete or transitional.
