Brudzeński Landscape Park

Brudzeński Park Krajobrazowy is a protected landscape area in central Poland, situated on the right bank of the Vistula northwest of the city of Płock. Created in 1988, the park falls within the Mazovian Voivodeship and spans the administrative territory of the communes of Brudzeń Duży and Stara Biała. Its territory lies at the meeting point of two distinct physical-geographical regions, the Dobrzyń Lakeland and the Płock Basin, giving it a varied terrain shaped by glacial meltwater and river erosion. The defining feature of the park is the deeply incised, meandering valley of the Skrwa Prawa river near its mouth, lined with steep scarps, picturesque ravines, and postglacial lakes of the Karwosiecko-Cholewicka meltwater channel. Broad forest complexes around the villages of Brwilno, Brudzeń, and Sikórz cover half of the park area and are dominated by old-growth oak-hornbeam woodland. Three nature reserves fall within the park's boundaries, protecting its most valuable forest, ravine, and river-valley habitats, along with thermophilic grasslands and a wide range of protected plant and bird species.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
