Cisowsko-Orłowiński Landscape Park

Cisowsko-Orłowiński Park Krajobrazowy is a protected landscape park in south-central Poland, located southeast of Kielc in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. It was established to preserve a remarkably high level of biological diversity, including most lowland habitat types found in the country, along with a rich variety of plant and animal species. The park spans roughly 207 square kilometers and is surrounded by a protective buffer zone of about 253 square kilometers. The park belongs to the broader natural heritage system of the Góry Świętokrzyskie region and incorporates forested plateaus, peatland complexes, and important geological exposures. Within its territory lie several nature reserves, including the peat-bog forests of Białe Ługi and the ancient woodlands of Słopiec, both protecting rare plant communities and exceptionally old trees. Beyond its ecological significance, the park features Paleozoic rock formations, Devonian limestone outcrops, and the famous Zbójecka Cave, a 200-meter cave system cut into bituminous limestone. The area combines a strong conservation role with cultural traces such as the early medieval pagan sanctuary in the Zamczysko forest reserve, offering a layered landscape of natural and historical character.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
