Dolina Kamionki Nature Reserve

Dolina Kamionki Nature Reserve is a small forest nature reserve in western Poland, located in the Międzychód commune in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. It lies within the Dolina Kamionki Landscape Park, which until 2019 formed part of the larger Pszczewski Landscape Park. The reserve protects a southern section of the Kamionka River valley, a post-glacial channel (rynna polodowcowa) that is notable for the diversity of its geological formations and the unusually high natural value of the habitats developed on them. The protected area covers roughly 59 hectares, representing only about two percent of the surrounding landscape park. It was established in 2004 specifically to conserve a fragment of river valley forest together with adjacent wetlands, and the reserve is recognized for its well-preserved deciduous woodlands, including oak-hornbeam (grąd) and alder swamp (ols) communities, as well as for a number of rare plant species found in the herb layer and along the drier valley edges.
