Doliska Nature Reserve

Doliska Nature Reserve is a small forest nature reserve in central Poland, located in Gmina Rogów within Brzeziny County in the Łódź Voivodeship. It occupies a compact area and is classified as a phytocenotic forest reserve dedicated to the protection of a specific woodland community. The reserve was established in 1954 to preserve a stand of mixed forest that includes silver fir, a species that is significant here because it grows well beyond the northern and eastern limits of its natural range in Poland. This unusual ecological situation gives the site both scientific and educational value. Although Doliska is very small, it represents one of the local examples of Łódź-region forest conservation history and remains a recognized reference point for understanding how relict tree species can persist outside their core distribution areas in lowland Poland.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
