Tomorr Mountain National Park

Tomorr Mountain National Park is a protected mountain wilderness in southern Albania, centered on the dramatic Tomorr massif which rises to 2,416 meters above sea level. The park spans the Berat and Elbasan counties in the central and higher portions of the Tomorr anticline, a limestone and karst geological formation that dominates the landscape between the valleys of the Osum and Tomorrica rivers. Established in 1956 and significantly expanded in 2012, the park encompasses approximately 26,000 hectares of mountainous terrain and is recognized as one of Albania's most important protected areas for maintaining biodiversity and ecosystem integrity.
