Ujście Warty (Natura 2000)

Ujście Warty is a Special Area of Conservation within the European Natura 2000 network, located in the Lubusz Voivodeship of western Poland. It occupies a substantial tract of the lower Warta river valley, covering roughly 33,215 hectares of floodplain landscape shaped by the river's mouth toward the Oder. The site consists of two connected enclave areas, established to secure long-term protection for natural habitats and for the populations of threatened animal species listed under the Habitats Directive. It combines wetlands, river corridors, meadows, dry grasslands, and broadleaf forests into a single coherent conservation unit. Although it is a designated habitat protection area rather than a national park in the strict sense, Ujście Warty stands out as one of the most important lowland wetland complexes in Poland and as a key node in the country's Natura 2000 ecological network.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
