Dąbrowy Seroczyńskie Nature Reserve

Dąbrowy Seroczyńskie Nature Reserve is a forest nature reserve located in the Mazovian Voivodeship of central-eastern Poland, within the administrative district of Gmina Wodynie in Siedlce County. The reserve protects a large, well-preserved lowland forest complex dominated by sessile oak, a tree species that gives the protected area its name and its distinct ecological character. Established in 1987, the reserve covers more than 550 hectares of state-owned forest administered through the Seroczyn forest district under the broader Siedlce Forest Management Authority. It sits within the Łuków Protected Landscape Area and lies on gently undulating terrain at elevations of roughly 175 to 192 meters above sea level. Together with the neighboring Kulak reserve, it forms an important network of protected forests in this part of the Mazovian lowlands. The reserve is valued primarily for its mature oak stands and the rich plant communities found in the forest understory, which contain a notable concentration of protected and regionally rare herbaceous species. It also supports a varied bird, amphibian, and mammal fauna typical of well-structured broadleaf and mixed lowland woodland in eastern Poland.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
