Dębina Nature Reserve

Dębina Nature Reserve is a small forest reserve located in the Masovian Voivodeship of east-central Poland. Situated northeast of Warsaw in the Klembów commune, it occupies roughly 51 hectares of the central-eastern Mazovian Plain, part of the broader Polish Lowlands. The reserve was established in 1952 and holds the distinction of being the oldest protected natural area in the entire Mazovian region. The reserve protects a natural oak-hornbeam forest stand dominated by exceptionally old pedunculate oaks, with elm, linden, and ash completing the multi-layered canopy. Beyond its botanical importance, Dębina is also known for its geological character, harboring numerous glacial erratics left behind by Pleistocene ice sheets. Together, these features make the reserve a compact but ecologically and geologically significant site within an otherwise heavily cultivated lowland landscape.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
