Bohdalov-Hartinkov Nature Park

Bohdalov-Hartinkov Nature Park is a protected natural area in the eastern part of the Czech Republic, situated in the southwestern portion of the Zábřezh Highlands (Zábřežská vrchovina) in the Svitavy District of the Pardubice Region. Established in 1996 by the District Office of Svitavy, the park spans roughly 6,265 hectares around the villages of Bohdalov and Hartinkov, about four kilometers northeast of Městečko Trnávka. The park was created to preserve an aesthetically and biologically valuable landscape distinguished by diverse geology, ranging from Paleozoic shales to Upper Cretaceous sediments with high calcium content. Much of the territory is forested, but it also contains a mosaic of semi-natural and near-natural meadows and pastures, registered landscape features such as the Pěčíkovské stráně slopes, the Strážnička locality, and the Teplice spring. It adjoins the neighboring Kladecko Nature Park in the Prostějov District, together forming a broader continuous protected countryside. The park is noted for its rich flora and fauna, including protected plant species such as the fringed gentian and wildlife such as the fire salamander and the red-backed shrike, making it an important area for nature conservation and quiet countryside exploration in the Bohemian-Moravian borderlands.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
